Low Ponytails

The days of the high ponytail seem to be gone—at least for now. These days, it’s all about low and low-profile ponytails that are simple yet sophisticated. The nice thing about this fall trend is that it’s perfect for keeping your hair out of your face on those windier days. At the same time, there are so many variations of this trend that you can be sure to find one that suits you. Consider a low side ponytail, a traditional low pony, or even a low bun for an elegant look.

The Long Bob (Lob)

Okay, so the lob has been popular for quite some time now (including the past spring and summer), but we’re pretty sure it’s not going anywhere this fall! The long bob will continue to be a popular option because it’s easy to style and tends to accentuate the best features of one’s face. Generally, a long bob reaches about shoulder length on the sides and is angled to be a couple of inches shorter in the back.

Big, Loose Waves

Fall is a great time to add some volume and “oomph” to your hairstyle, so if you have longer hair, consider styling it in big, loose waves for a sexy look. A variation on the popular “beachy waves” look of summer, loose waves can be easily achieved in a number of ways. You can use a curling iron or straightening iron to wave your dry hair, or you can even loosely braid your hair while wet to reveal easy waves when dry.

The Middle Part

While the side part has been popular for many years now, it is expected that this fall will see the comeback of the classic, bold middle part—especially for those with medium-length to long hair. Yes, all that time you’ve spent training your hair to part to one side has come to this. Time to bring back the natural part!

Cropped Styles

Finally, if you’re looking for something edgy and different this fall, consider going with a shorter cropped style. This is a great style for women who live in Miami, where it doesn’t get too chilly during the fall. A cropped style can add definition to your face that a longer style simply can’t while also being much easier and less time-consuming to maintain.

After checking out what are sure to be some of the hottest hair trends this coming fall, which ones are you most interested in trying for yourself?
